NEWRY 2020
The Albert Basin Park Project seeks to harness the potential of the area by transforming a derelict site at the head of Carlingford Lough into a much needed 15 acre green public space for the people of Newry. Nestled between the Clanrye River and the Newry Canal, the Albert Basin’s proximity to the centre of Newry provides the ideal location to exploit the stunning scenery of the area.
£10,000 of funding was awarded by Clanrye Abbey Development to Newry 2020 to enable a feasibility study for the public park.
